Application & Recommendation

ADVANTAGES
a) An extremely powerful wetting agent in alkaline conditions of up to 8% solid caustic soda.

b) Stable to all common oxidizing agents normally used in bleaching, including hypochlorites, peroxides, chlorites and persulphates.

c) Stable to most reducing agents eg. Sodium hydrosulphite and metabisulphite.

d) Lower foaming than common anionic detergents and is stable under the extremes of temperature and pressure met in pressure dyeing equipment. Main commercial application Rockapon PET is an extremely versatile product replacing wetting agents, detergent and dispersing agents. The main use is as a wetting agent in moderate concentrations of alkali or salt especially those encountered in cotton processing other uses include synthetic fiber desizing, scouring and general washing off operations.
