Rockapon EGU

Rockapon EGU due to it's substantively for disperse dyes is the most suitable leveling agent in the dyeing of polyester and polyester blends with disperse. Rockapon EGU also improves the dispersion stability of the dye bath, when used in higher concentration it acts as a stripping agent. It can be used for machine cleaning.

Application & Recommendation

As leveling agent:

a)     Exhaust dyeing: Set the dye bath at 60°C with 0.5 - 1.0 g/l ph 4.5 - 5.5

Treat the material with chemicals for 5 - 10 minutes. Then add disperse dye dispersion and circulate for 5 - 10 minutes. Raise the temperature to 130°C in 45-60 minutes. Dye at 130°C for 30 - 60 minutes.

b) Thermo sol dyeing: Addition of 5 - 10 g/l Rockapon EGU in the padding liquor ensures uniform dyeing of the material.

c) Printing: If print paste is to be used after storage, add 3 - 5 g/l Rockapon EGU to the print paste, stir well and then use for printing. This will reduced the spikiness problem in printing.
As a striping agent:

a) On HTHP machine:

        5 - 10 g/l Rockapon EGU

        4      g/l carrier

        1 - 2   g/l Acid buffer

        PH 4.5 - 5.5

        Treat the material at 130°C for 60 - 90 minutes.

b) By thermosol method: Goods are padded in

        25 - 200 g/l Rockapon EGU

        10 - 200 g/l dispersing cum leveling

        Dry and cure at 210°C for 1 - 2 minutes. Rinse and soap with 2 g/l detergent at boil for 10 minutes. Rinse and dry.

Machine cleaning:

a)2-4 g/l Rockapon EGU

        2 - 4 g/l Caustic soda flake

        1 - 2 g/l Sodium Hydrosulphide

        2 - 4 g/l Detergent

        Clean at 130°C for 30 - 45 minutes.
